You would think in this day and age of technological advancement, businesses using cloud productivity softwares would be a no-brainer,at least I do.But nope! that's not always the case. Which brings me to ask; is getting a shiny-out-of-the-box-ready new tool worth it when your fossil, with a lot of tweaking and improvisation...can maybe do the job? let's ponder over CRMs and good old Microsoft excel for a sec!

CRM softwares are are cloud-based, on-demand customer relationship management tools used by departments of a business to manage customer data throughout the customer journey and life cycle. Now, by definition, it involves no effort from the end-user concerning maintenance. All you have to do is choose the right plan for your business and pay. Right out of the box, they come loaded with features any business could possibly and realistically need. If your businesss has specific needs or you're just an exclusivity enthusiast, customization is available and whatever you create will work seemlessly with the original features.
Now imagine your marketing, sales and customer service departments collaborating without a hussle;queuing and delegating leads, opportunities and queries to the right contacts seemlessly. Additionally, CRM softwares provide integration with apps like docusign, email and slack that are pertinent to your business' operations. Tell me why you would prefer anything else?
There are a host of vendors such as Salesforce,Hubspot,Zoho,Zendesk etc. These companies have CRM softwares that are intuitive and can cater adequately to your business needs. If you as a business owner or your staff are not feeling up to the task or have little time to master the software effectively, there are consultants and administrators that can set-up the CRM for your organization.
Now that you have ample information,I trust you'll make the best decision for your business.
